Peace Now Welcomes President Obama With the Message: We The People, WANT PEACE!
When President Obama arrives today and makes his way to Jerusalem, he will be greeted with a message of peace from the Israeli people through the window of his plane.

Yesterday, activists from Peace Now set a banner on the fields of Kibbutz Nachshon, located on the flight path of President Obama.

The activists thus conveyed the message of 23,000 Israelis who signed on to a call for the President to speak to the Israeli public at Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square.

The banner spans 55 meters (180 feet) long and 15 meters (50 feet) wide, and can be seen clearly from the sky.

Peace Now wants the President to know that the Israeli public is an eager partner in the effort to achieve peace between Israel and its neighbors, and that it supports President Obama's role in resolving the conflict.  We welcome President Obama and look forward to his leadership in his second-term in the White House.
