Beit BINA (BINA House) in Dharamsala, India offers visitors a way of connecting with other Jewish/Israeli travelers as well as the local Indian community and culture. This home away from home has  been visited by thousands of young travelers who pass through each season, enjoying a huge range of activities including weekly Kabbalat Shabbat and Havdalah events, Jewish holiday
celebrations, workshops, classes, performances and much more. Many events are led by the participants, who conduct workshops and lectures on a volunteer basis.

Beit BINA India's activities are open to all regardless of religious affiliation or background.  It is the open and inclusive atmosphere together with the diversity of the visitors to the house that makes it so appealing to Jewish travelers from all over the world.

Help us widen our reach to more travelers that are looking for an open, pluralistic Jewish home-away-from-home in India, and are seeking an alternative to an exclusively orthodox experience.

Beit BINA is unique in providing not just a home for Jewish values in India, but opportunities to contribute to the local community. In full cooperation with the local community, we organize volunteer activities that visitors to Beit BINA can join.  Through this social action they actualize the Jewish values of tikkun
olam by helping the people around them. These unique opportunities make an impact on the local community as well as on our participants and many develop an interest in communal social involvement, which they carry with them when they return home.
