Dear Friends,

Salaam from Nazareth.

We pray this newsletter finds you well.

We are excited to share with you some recent highlights of our work in peace research.

Last June was a memorable journey of learning, growth, and inspiration in Oxford, UK.
Postdoctoral Research: Promoting Communities of Peace
In June, as part of Langham's postdoctoral program, our cohort had the pleasure of being visiting scholars at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University. One of the most remarkable aspects of the experience was the access to the Bodleian Libraries, with over 13 million books in their vast collection. This provided us with invaluable insights into our research and learning.
During our month-long stay in Oxford, we were warmly welcomed by the academic community. It was a joy to engage with esteemed faculty and fellow scholars from various disciplines. We were delighted to have the opportunity of meeting the renowned New Testament scholar Prof. NT Wright, Senior Research Fellow at Wycliffe Hall.

As part of the postdoctoral program, we engage in training and seminars that focus on supervising doctoral students and developing PhD programs in seminaries. In one of our seminars, we were blessed by the presence of a friend and a noted theologian, Dr. Chris Wright, Langham's Global Ambassador, who shared profound insights on theological education as mission and its transformative role.

Throughout the weeks, we devoted our time and effort to writing research papers that reflected our individual research and mission. The culmination of this effort came when we presented our work to our mentors—prominent scholars known for their profound knowledge in their field of expertise. We are grateful for their support, encouragement, and constructive feedback received during these sessions.

At Nazareth Center for Peace Studies, we believe in the transformative power of education in fostering positive change and peacebuilding. My research on promoting communities of peace, along with engaging with diverse perspectives and fellow scholars, undoubtedly enriches our academic pursuits and contributes to our shared mission of fostering peace. Grateful to Langham partnership for this remarkable platform for scholarly growth and collaboration.
Celebration: 40th Anniversary of Oxford Center for Mission Studies
During my stay in Oxford, I had the privilege of taking part in the festivities commemorating the 40-year anniversary of the Oxford Center for Mission Studies (OCMS).It was a humbling experience to be among the invited speakers for this special occasion at my alma mater.

OCMS embraces the gospel's embodiment across cultures. It provides profound insights into God's universal work throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the USA. OCMS empowers Christian scholars and leaders to conduct research aligned with their mission and the needs of their contexts, promoting mutual learning between scholarship and practice, and enriching the understanding of God's work globally.

During the celebration, OCMS founders Dr. Vinay Samuel and Dr. Chris Sugden, along with former director Dr. Wonsuk Ma, were honored.
It was truly a joyous celebration. We had the pleasure of reuniting with old friends and making new connections. As we each continue on our individual journeys, may we hold on to the shared vision of bringing hope and transformation to our world. We are deeply grateful to OCMS for its efforts in advancing the cause of mission and fostering a deeper understanding of diverse cultures.

We pray that our collective efforts continue to shape a world where the message of the Prince of Peace makes a lasting impact on the lives we touch.

I want to thank each one of you for your prayers, support and encouragement throughout this journey.

Much love

Rula
