Retour sur l’atelier-concours «Pitch your professional brand» organisé pour le programme européen UPtoPARIS de l'ESPCI
L’ABG a organisé du 17 au 18 mars 2021 son premier concours de pitch en langue anglaise pour le programme Cofund UPtoPARIS de l'ESPCI Paris. L'événement a réuni en visioconférence, 9 doctorants internationaux du programme ainsi qu’un jury composé de 4 cadres d'entreprises. C’était l’occasion pour ces jeunes chercheurs de développer leur réseau en dehors du milieu académique.

Highlights of the workshop-contest "Pitch your professional brand" for ESPCI’s UPtoPARIS program
From March 17th to 18th, 2021, ABG organized its first pitch contest in English for a COFUND program UPtoParis at ESPCI Paris. The online event brought together 9 fellows with a jury of 4 company executives. It was also an opportunity for these young researchers at the end of their PhD programs to develop their network outside the academic world.

Solène Baffi est docteure en géographie, spécialiste des questions de transport et de mobilité. Elle est passionnée par les questions de mobilité, de développement international, et aujourd'hui en poste au sein de l'ONG Codatu. L'ABG devient partenaire du projet « Observatoire canadien sur les parcours des titulaires de doctorat » lancé par l'Université Laval
Le projet "Observatoire", dont l'ABG est partenaire, vise à promouvoir les atouts du doctorat en montrant comment les compétences des doctorants se développent et en présentant le rôle stratégique des docteurs dans la société. Le site web offre une palette d'outils pour découvrir les compétences liées au doctorat et leurs différents cadres culturels (Canada, France, Royaume-Uni), pour apprendre quelques stratégies afin d’améliorer l'employabilité des docteurs en transition vers le marché du travail, et pour trouver diverses informations sur l'employabilité et plus encore.

ABG becomes a partner of the project « Observatoire » to monitor the career paths of PhD holders in Canada launched by the Université Laval
The project “Observatoire”, of which ABG is a partner, aims to promote the advantages of doctoral training by demonstrating how the skills of PhD candidates develop, and by showing the strategic role of PhD holders in society. The website offers a range of tools to discover the skills linked to a PhD and its different frameworks (Canada, France, UK), to learn some strategies to improve the employability of PhDs transitioning into the labor market, and to find various information on the employability of doctoral graduates and more.

Les rencontres scientifiques franco-québecoises, les 10-11 mai 2021
Le Conseil franco-québécois de coopération universitaire (CFQCU) en partenariat avec l'Université de Rennes 1, organisera ses prochaines rencontres scientifiques franco-québécoises. La thématique « L'Université face aux enjeux de l'innovation, du numérique et de l'entrepreneuriat » permettra aux acteurs universitaires, institutionnels et du milieu économique, de s'inspirer de certaines expériences québécoises et françaises et d'échanger sur les perspectives de collaboration au sein des territoires. L'ABG sera heureuse d'intervenir le 10 mai lors de la table-ronde « Comment soutenir les doctorants dans leur recherche d'emplois ?

Franco-Quebecois scientific conferences, May 10th-11th, 2021
The Conseil franco-québécois de coopération universitaire (CFQCU), in partnership with the University of Rennes 1, will organize its next Franco-Quebecois scientific conference. The theme "The University facing the challenges of innovation, digital and entrepreneurship" will allow universities, institutional and economic actors to draw inspiration from various French and Quebecois experiences and to exchange on the perspectives of collaboration within the territories. ABG will be pleased to participate on May 10th as part of the round table "How to support PhD candidates in their job search?

Programme de coopération franco-britannique Alliance
Le partenariat franco-britannique (PHC) Alliance a pour objectif de développer les échanges scientifiques entre chercheurs des deux pays, en favorisant les nouvelles coopérations et la participation de jeunes chercheurs. L’intérêt particulier de cette année est porté sur des technologies quantiques, les calculs à haute performance, l’intelligence artificielle et les données, la 5G et les télécommunications, les nouveaux matériaux, l’industrie du futur, la gestion du changement climatique, l’énergie nucléaire, la sécurité agricole et alimentaire.

French-British Cooperation Program Alliance 2022
The Hubert Curien French-British partnership Alliance aims to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between researchers from both countries, by encouraging new cooperation and the participation of young researchers and doctoral students. This year's focus is on quantum technologies, high performance computing, artificial intelligence and data, 5G and telecommunications, new materials, the industry of the future, climate change management, nuclear energy, and agricultural and food security.

Call for applications – CEDEJ Khartoum grants
The French Centre for Economic, Law and Social Studies in Sudan (CEDEJ Khartoum) is launching fieldwork grants for Master and PhD students conducting research in the social sciences and humanities in Sudan during the year 2021. The research must fit with at least one of the following scientific themes: Governance, politics ; City, citizenship, migration and urban environments ; Environment, nature and resource management ; History of contemporary Sudan. Le programme « Ambassadeur » a pour objectif de financer 2 bourses en offrant un séjour de 12 mois à l’étranger pour des post-doctorants engagés sur un projet de recherche portant sur des enjeux de sécurité et de défense, quelle que soit la discipline universitaire (géographie, économie, sciences politiques, droit etc.). Ambassador Postdoctoral Program launched by the French Ministry of Defense
The "Ambassador"’s objective is to finance two post-doctoral fellowships by offering a 12-month stay abroad for researchers engaged in a research project on security and defense issues, whatever the academic discipline (geography, economics, political science, law, etc.). The program is open to French candidates or citizens of a European Union member state who have successfully defended their thesis in a French university.

L’Ambassade de France au Kazakhstan lance un appel à candidatures pour l’aide à la mobilité courte (1-3 mois) vers la France de jeunes chercheurs kazakhstanais. Le candidat doit être de nationalité kazakhstanaise, ayant obtenu sa thèse depuis 5 ans au plus et être rattaché à un établissement d’enseignement supérieur et/ou de recherche et présenter un projet nécessitant une recherche de terrain et/ou une collaboration avec un laboratoire français. The Embassy of France in Kazakhstan is launching a call for applications for the support of short mobility projects (1-3 months) in France for young Kazakhstani researchers. To apply to this call, the candidate must be a Kazakhstani citizen, have obtained his or her thesis within the last 5 years and be attached to an institution of higher education and/or research and present a project whose work requires field research and/or close collaboration with a French laboratory.
