Just a year and the Vision has become a Reality
____________...
The Greenegev vision is a reality!

Within a year, we established a technological incubator with expected investments of over 160M NIS and partnerships with leading international companies; we promoted the marketing of agricultural incubators integrated within industrial areas; approved land for industrial plants with the Ministry of Economic Affairs; established an academic training partnership and will soon conduct local and international efforts for recruiting young entrepreneurs to a unique accelerator.

To me, this was a lesson in leadership. Yeruham will gain from a regenerating  economy that aims to introduce
innovations to the rapidly growing opportunities within the global medical cannabis and pharma industries. If you are looking for a place to grow, I welcome you to realize your dreams in Yeruham.

I wish to thank Eli Cohen, Former Minister of Economic affairs; Ido Sofer, Ministry of Finance Economics Coordinator; the professional teams at the Innovation Authority, Investment Authority, Israel Land Authority and Ministry of Agriculture.

Thank you to Yuval Landschaft, the visionary behind the project.

Special thanks to Sharon Kochan, VP Rx Pharmaceuticals at Perrigo for his faith and Zionism.

Thank you to the Ness Fund, enabling us to accelerate.

Always at your service,
Tal Ohana

Bio-Tech Park – Advanced approval stages within less than a year
____________
The vision is taking form: The Ministry of Economic Affairs is currently completing the formalities toward approving the establishment of a factory for processing, producing, marketing and exporting advanced cannabis products at the Biotech and Pharma Park in Yeruham.

It will be the first entrepreneur and factor admitted to the park. The factory, intended to begin operating in the upcoming
months, will cover ~6,000m² and employ dozens.

The factory’s entrepreneur, MTB Measurements and Photogrammetry (2001) Ltd., owned by Mr. Avi Goldreich, holds extensive experience growing medical cannabis and producing advanced cannabis products in Spain, including medical cannabis oils, and selling the products to the Canadian Health Department.

“The company’s vision is to develop the broadest possible cannabis oil based product offering, providing the highest quality at affordable prices”, said Goldreich. “The factory in Yeruham will create quality employment opportunities for the residents, working at one of the most technologically advanced plants in the field.

Concurrently, there is another serious and promising process underway with another entrepreneur who seeks to establish a factory for advanced cannabis products using a variety of innovative and unique technologies. This factor will cover a constructed area of ~10,000m² and is also expected to employ dozens. In additions, Israel’s first vaccine factory is planned to go up in Yeruham and is currently in advanced stages of technology seeking efforts.

The Biotech and Pharma Park in Yeruham is a new park of ~32 dunams, with the potential of further expansion. The park is part of the cannabinoid ecosystem that will combine biotech and pharma industries and operate alongside advanced labs and R&D institutes. The vision is to create a symbiosis between ecosystem companies and the development and production of innovative and unique biotech and pharma products to be marketed around the world.

Entrepreneurs who wish to join the park are welcome to contact Meir Shimko at +972-52-521-5293, olimdaroma@gmail.com

Another recent initiative subject of development and fundraising is the Biotech production institute that will enable startups in the field to develop pilots in Israel, without investing in labs and advanced equipment.
Incubator marketing has begun: Cannabis entrepreneurs will be able to submit offers to the ILA in October
שיווק החממות נפתח בקרוב
As part of the rezoning processes for the cannabinoid ecosystem in Yeruham, three lots of dozens of acres will be marketed toward establishing medical cannabis growing and cultivation incubators. The forecast is that cannabis entrepreneurs will be able to submit their bids in October this year.

The incubator center, adjacent to the R&D and production facilities, presents marketing potential of ~800 dunams for plant growing and cultivation of which ~100 dunams will be initially marketed.

Marketing is possible thanks to the rezoning resolutions reached by the Yeruham Local Planning Committee and lot planning and cost calculations will commence within the next few weeks, after which the Israel Land Authority will market the lots.

The plan was already approved by the local committee and is now being published under the plan deposit (60 days). The plan can be approved in September 2020 after which marketing will be commenced.

“The entrepreneurs winning the lots will join the entrepreneurs and factories that have already begun construction”, says Amnon Cohen, Yeruham Economic Development Company. “This is a great opportunity for growers, new entrepreneurs and existing companies to join in the success”.

Another 500 dunams are in the process of UCP rezoning, enabling entrepreneurs interested in combined industrial and agricultural land to obtain subsidized land. It is a unique compound, planned according to government regulations and cannabis production processes.

A lab structure and visitor's center is also planned for the compound.
