France : Loi de programmation de la recherche 2021-2030, signature d'un accord historique sur les rémunérations et les carrières
Un accord sur les rémunérations et les carrières des personnels de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur a été conclu le 12 octobre, entre le gouvernement et les partenaires sociaux. Cet accord détermine les modalités du plus important plan de revalorisations salariales à destination des chercheurs, des enseignants-chercheurs et de l'ensemble des personnels qui font vivre la recherche publique en France.

France: Research Programming Law 2021-2030, signature of a historic agreement on compensation and careers
An agreement on the compensation and careers of research and higher education personnel was reached on October 12th between the government and social partners. This agreement sets out the terms of the most significant salary increase plan for researchers, lecturers and all staff who support public research in France.

If you missed the British Council’s first Europe-wide virtual higher education fair "Study UK Europe : Gateway to the UK" for students considering studying in the UK at either undergraduate or postgraduate level, you have an opportunity to follow pre-recoded sessions available up to November the 13th. This platform will allow future students to meet representatives from British universities and experts from the British Council and to learn about post-Brexit changes on fees and costs, visas, how to apply and how to prepare.

A new European Research Area
The European Commission adopted a Communication on a new European Research Area for Research and Innovation that will improve Europe's research and innovation landscape. In close cooperation with the Member States, its strategic objectives and actions will prioritize investments and reforms in research and innovation, improve access to excellence for researchers across the European Union and enable research findings to reach the market and the real economy.

The National Gendarmerie Awards 2021
In 2021, the Gendarmerie Nationale organizes the "National Gendarmerie Awards - Research and Strategic Thinking" in order to reward and support members of the Institution (active or reserve) or members of civil society, whose research, publication or research actions concern issues of national security and defense.

M-era.Net Appel d’offres 2020
Dans le cadre de l’ERA-NET Cofund M-era.Net, qui réunit 29 agences de financement représentant 23 pays, l’Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR) lance un appel à projets, non co-financé par la Commission européenne, sur la science et l’ingénierie des matériaux. L’objectif est de stimuler la recherche et l’innovation sur les matériaux pour les technologies d’énergie à faible émission de carbone, notamment dans les batteries et le stockage d’énergie.

M-era.Net Call for application 2020
In the context of the ERA-NET Cofund M-era.Net, which brings together 29 funding agencies representing 23 countries, the French National Research Agency (ANR) is launching a call for applications, not co-funded by the European Commission, on materials science and engineering. The main goal is to stimulate research and innovation on materials for low-carbon energy technologies, particularly in batteries and energy storage.

Prix "Tremplin" de coopération bilatérale en recherche - Afrique
Dans le cadre de la manifestaton Africa 2020 qui se déroulera sur tout le territoire français (métropole et territoires ultra-marins) de début décembre 2020 à mi-juillet 2021, le MESRI lance un appel d'offres qui décernera en 2020 plusieurs prix destinés à mettre en valeur et renforcer des coopérations bilatérales en recherche déjà engagées entre deux équipes, l'une française et l'autre africaine, en favorisant leur poursuite et leur amplification autour d'un projet de recherche commun d'une durée de 2 ans.

“Springboard" Prize for bilateral research cooperation - Africa
As part of the Africa 2020 event that will take place throughout France (metropole and overseas territories) from early December 2020 to mid-July 2021, French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation is launching a call for applications that will award several prizes in 2020 to highlight and strengthen bilateral research cooperation already underway between French and African teams, by promoting their continuation and expansion to a joint research project for a further two years.

EUTOPIA European University: Researcher Mobility Program
Applications to the EUTOPIA Researcher Mobility Program are now open to all academic disciplines and topics. This program is supporting EUTOPIA researchers for the local program points of contact from their home institution, as well as researchers from international partner universities, outside of EUTOPIA, for the local program of their host institution for research visits.
