Bnei David - Update from the war

We present to you the second update from the Institutions of Bnei David for the summary of the second week of the war.

Returning to Winter Semester
Studies

Last week, the students of Bnei David resumed their studies in Eli and Tel Aviv, and this week our Midreshet Danieli girls and 'Derech Avot' students will also start their studies. Many rabbis and staff members are working diligently to ensure that all the students have a rabbi on campus, and meaningful learning is taking place. We are also producing many lessons for Bnei David's YouTube channel, and you are welcome to listen to them too. Some of the rabbis have been training and have joined those guarding to enhance security at the institutions.

Visiting and Supporting

During the past week, we visited the mourning homes of families who lost their loved ones. Bnei David rabbis visit the soldiers on the front lines every day. Rabbi Sadan also visited some of the wounded in hospitals who were injured in the fighting in the Gaza border communities. During the visits, the rabbis were exposed to stories of bravery from the soldiers. You can listen to one of these stories in the following link:

Strengthening the Home Front –Soldiers' Wives

All over the country, the families of the enlisted soldiers stand with strength in the face of the challenges of war. Last week, wishing to pamper all the families of the 'Bnei David' staff members whose husbands are on the front lines we provided pizza for dupper, along with a card game we received as a donation. The children were very happy and enjoyed a warm and tasty dinner.

Supporting Talmud Torah Eli

In order for the children of the Eli Talmud Torah to also study successfully, we opened our campus to the students of Talmud Torah who started studying in our classrooms last week, as the Talmud Torah does not have shelters. We are happy to host them until the situation calms down.

The Army Marches on Spiritual and Physical Nourishment

Hundreds of soldiers have been posted in our local area, and we are lending a hand in the war effort with concern for them. At the army's request, we provide meals for about 200 soldiers every day, who now enjoy the good food from the 'Bnei David' kitchens.

We continue to learn and pray for the success of the IDF soldiers and its commanders, for the recovery of the wounded, and for the safe return of the kidnapped and missing to their homes. May the Almighty send great wisdom to the leaders, ministers, and advisors of the State of Israel.
