Dear Friends,

It is yet again our pleasure to launch our last newsletter edition for 2021, covering stories and updates from Israel.

2021 is drawing to its end. The promise is holding that next year will mark the beginning of the end of the recovery from the global pandemic, in essence, marked with the opening of Australia’s borders and the resumption of international travel.

Though hampered by a new Covid variant, the massive immunisation campaigns in most countries, especially both in Australia and Israel, and the many safety protocols already in place are likely to enable governments to allow traveling across borders for personal purposes and nonetheless for business reasons.

The result of borders re-opening is that personal face-to-face interactions will be possible again. Business individuals, groups, and delegations will travel to meetings, conferences, and exhibitions. The virtual dimension that has become such a vital communication method for all of us when interacting with business peers and potential partners would most likely not be returned to where it was before the pandemic but will complement the ways we communicate, negotiate and discuss business and investments partnership.

2022 is already around the corner and is likely to be a year for dominant economic recovery, reflected through personal interactions and economic activity with mutual interests to meet and collaborate.

We at the Israel Trade Commission are looking forward to launching our 2022 plans and initiatives. It will notably demonstrate an ongoing interest of Israelis in the Australian market and will lead to visits, and meetings, in both our respective markets.

We wish everyone Happy Hanukkah and a Merry Xmas and a wonderful beginning of a new year ahead!

Kelly, Jeremy, and Shai

The team at the Israel Trade Commission

Spotlight on:
Water Emergency @ IL
agri_0
In recent times we have witnessed many changes in the global climate that bring natural disasters more frequently than expected and damage our environment severely. One of the most important resources impacted by these disasters is water, whether it is water sources, infrastructure contamination, and supply. The ability to supply usable water in pipelines is a fundamental and essential resource various authorities, governments, and municipalities rely on. During an emergency or natural disaster access to potable water sources may be limited, jeopardizing the life of residents and citizens.

8 – 9 December, the Export Institute and The Foreign Trade Administration at the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry will hold an event on water crises where we will discuss the dangers and implications of such events.

The event will include:
  • Virtual pavilion of solutions with booths of Israeli water technologies companies
  • Panels with keynote speakers
  • B2B meetings
