Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is the middle of the year already, which means the financial reports season is on and more importantly, the global economy is facing a difficult time.
With rising costs of living in many countries (certainly in Israel and Australia), rising interest rates and inflation looming, it’s evident that the coming months will be marked by Covid economic recovery and will continue to be affected by disruptions to logistics and supply chain management.
Despite this grim reality, the borders have now been open for a few months, the flights and travel that has resumed will provide the economy with the necessary injections it requires by allowing tourism to grow, business to engage with their overseas peers, and foreign-students to recommence their studies in Australia.
The Israel Trade Commission is also back to travel and is preparing to lead a business mission of executives and professionals from the Cyber industry to visit Israel’s most prominent Cyber conference in the last week of June. The Australian group, led by the former special advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. Alastair MacGibbon, consists of a dozen Cyber and network security experts whom will participate in the event and meet with innovative Cyber companies and start-ups that Israel has to offer.
In our monthly newsletter, we are pleased to feature updates and stories about, and from, Israel - its economic growth, the future usage of robots, which will serve the industry and the community, particularly the most vulnerable residents in age care.
We invite you to read and enjoy the different news articles and definitely engage with the Trade Commission to realise the potential and opportunities to partner with Israeli technology companies.
We wish everyone a pleasant reading and an enjoyable long weekend ahead.
The Team at the Israel Trade Commission (Kelly, Luke, Jeremy and Shai)
