 The 7th IATI MNC Forum Annual Meeting

Over 100 Israeli General Managers of R&D centers gathered for our 7th IATI MNC Forum Annual Meeting, and maintained the ongoing professional discussion with policy makers towards our shared vision of a thriving, innovative Israel. We thank the keynote speakers, Prof. Avi Simhon, Head, National Economic Council; Shira Greenberg, Chief Economist, Ministry of Finance; Israel Innovation Authority CEO Aharon Aharon; Shlomo Dovrat, General Partner & Co-Founder, Viola Ventures; Meir Linzen, HFN Partner; and Dr. Ayal Shenhav, GKH Partner. IATI Co-Chair Erez Tsur's opinion piece on the Book's front page: "We have to make sure the Industry's burning issues such as allowing regulation and tax policy, human capital training, and social diversity, will be kept to maintain the Israeli innovation leading position".

The GKH, IVC, and IATI Report brought new data on the activity of Multinational Corporations' Contribution to Israeli Tech Ecosystem. The report, prepared towards and first presented at our 7th IATI MNC Forum Annual Meeting, finds that MNCs presence and R&D Centers are major contributors to the Israeli tech ecosystem. Analysis and Investment Management in the
Field of Life Sciences

We were proud to hand out the end-course diplomas to the many participants of the 2nd class of IATI & TASE Advanced Course: Analysis and Investment Management in the Field of Life Sciences. The 4-meeting course was a part of IATI's vision of enlarging the volume and depth of local institutional investors' interest in Israeli life science companies, as well as analysts' awareness of the sector. IATI leads the way to a more sustainable growth of the impressive Israeli life science industry. We thank the top expert lecturers of the Course and our partner Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange .

IATI Signs "Industry 4.0" Cooperation Agreement With The Israeli Garage Association

IATI Co-Chair Erez Tsur and the CEO of Israeli Garage Association (IGA) Ronen Levy signed a cooperation agreement intended to help bring new technologies into the Israeli automobile and garage sector. Within the agreement, IATI will help IGA with advanced training, education, cyber awareness and more, with the goal of introducing the sector's professionals with new relevant technologies.

IATI's Survey: Foreign Expert Procedure

IATI's survey on Foreign Expert Regulations was presented at the 7th IATI MNC Forum Meeting. The survey, conducted with the Population and Immigration Authority, aimed to check the awareness and usage of the new experimental procedure for handling applications of High Tech and Cyber companies to employ and regulate the status of foreign experts in Israel.

IATI Co-Chair Erez Tsur sent New Year's greetings on Nanjing's first celebration of the New Year, with 3,000 people in the audience, In the presence of Secretary of CPC Nanjing Municipal Party Committee Zhang Jinghua and Nanjing Mayor Han Liming. IATI and Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone signed last year a Strategic Cooperation Agreement for strengthening the bilateral economic relationship. Here's to a year of innovation and co-operation!

IATI CEO & President Karin Mayer Rubinstein gave a keynote speech on innovative globalization challenges, at the 2019 T-EDGE Conference in Beijing - one of the largest platforms in China for leading innovators to meet and exchange ideas. It was an honor to be on the same stage with Winner of Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry Dan Shechtman, with over 10,000 people in the audience.

IATI CEO Karin Mayer Rubinstein met with a delegation of leading Finnish VC fund partners. Karin gave the delegation an overview of the Israeli venture capital industry, and discussed possible ways of future cooperation. We thank Kirsikka Lehto-Asikainen, Ambassador of Finland in Tel Aviv, and Alon Gold, Special Advisor on Economic Trade Policy at the Embassy.
 
IATI CEO Karin Mayer Rubinstein lectured on the Israeli innovation ecosystem and the landscape of female founders, to the WIDE Luxembourg delegation, who travelled to Tel Aviv last week. The delegation included 13 senior representatives of the ministry, ICT policymakers, startup incubators, coordinators and female founders from the Luxembourgish startup ecosystem. We thank the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Israel.

IATI CEO Karin Mayer Rubinstein participated in a round table on the challenges facing Israeli high-tech industry, hosted by People & Computers and attended by Industry leaders. Karin shared the currents state in the Industry regarding investments, VC funds, encouragment of institutional investors, HR training and more. IATI sees great importance in ecosystem connections aiming to promote all levels of the industry. We thank Nimrod Kozlovski on HFN who hosted, and Peli Peled and Yehuda Konfortes.
