Measures to reduce personnel costs during the Corona crisis

Dear Clients,

In these trying times, in light of the challenging health and economic situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the strict Government guidelines, many companies in Israel are taking steps to reduce the extent of harm to their business and employees, in order to maintain the continuity of operations during the crisis and to ensure their re-emergence in sound condition thereafter.

Many employers in the Israeli economy are sending employees on unpaid leave. This solution allows many employees to receive unemployment benefits from the National Insurance Institution (subject to certain conditions). However, this is not the only option. Employers have several available options, which are reviewed in this memorandum. For the full review, click here.

We will be happy to answer any questions or clarifications.
