HFN’s Annual Compliance, Export, Defense and Homeland-Security Conference
In collaboration with Covington

“2017 – Expect the Unexpected”

Monday | March 27, 2017 | 0900-1300
2017 is already shaping to be a year of global geopolitical, economic and regulatory uncertainty, at all levels.

In Israel, the “compliance revolution” appears to have finally arrived, resulting in greatly increased government enforcement of regulatory, compliance and financial regimes.

In this context, Israeli authorities are increasingly resorting to financial enforcement, including on an individual level.  Concurrently, the Ministry of Defense is in the process of implementing a significant reform of Israel's export control regulations, with far reaching consequences.

In the US, the new administration seems willing to “change the rules of the game”, resulting in high levels of policy and regulatory uncertainties for companies and individuals with US business and for those wishing to do business in the US.

The conference will focus on assisting Israeli companies in navigating these new challenges and risks, locally and abroad – and simultaneously create new business opportunities.
