Drawing the Lines - The Alliance to prevent intimate partner violence

For the first time - a national index of violence in intimate partner relationships in  Israel - In the coming months, the first national survey, measuring the scope of the phenomenon of violence in intimate partner relationships will be launched. The tool was developed by "Drawing the Lines” in partnership with the inter-ministerial committee for the treatment of domestic violence. As part of the development process, a perception survey was carried out to check which phenomena of violence the public recognizes as such, and to what extent it is ready to act against such phenomena. The findings of the survey show that the public in Israel recognizes violence mainly when it manifests itself physically, and less so when it comes to other types of violence. The index is expected to be a very valuable tool, both for the work of the initiative, and for all the parties dealing with domestic violence in the country. Four teams are currently operating in the framework of the initiative, developing prevention strategies in a variety of areas and for diverse communities. >> More on Drawing the Lines Initiative

TOP15 Initiative to expand the circle of excellence

Last July we launched the first working group of its kind, aimed at promoting STEM excellence among middle school students in the Arab community. The group consists of experts from all sectors, who are committed to creating systemic change. The data infrastructure for the group's work was formulated with the assistance of the NAS research company. Recently we also supported modifying the mathematics curriculum to include skills and content which is relevant to everyday life. We welcome the decision of the Ministry of Education in this matter, and are currently examining channels whereby our initiative can support the implementation of the process.

Initiative to improve the quality of
life and to loneliness in old age

About 90 organizations from all
sectors have joined together to promote this initiative to take meaningful action in support of the elderly population in Israel.
In recent months, two working groups have begun their work: the first to change attitudes towards aging among the Israeli public, increasing awareness and reducing ageism, and the second to create a map of responses as an infrastructure for collaborative action.
Simultaneously, we are working to create connections, and to harness partners, to develop an ecosystem for the age-tech industry in Israel, that will promote investment in innovation for the benefit of the elderly population. More about the initiative

Places – Institute for Municipal Management

"Places" began its operation about a year ago, as a joint venture of the Ministry of the Interior, the Yad Hanadiv Foundation and Sheatufim, and operates on two parallel lines: training and infrastructure development. The purpose of the project is to train the 15 senior managers in each local authority in Israel. These managers are the ones who generate the diverse operations of each local authority and have a great influence on its prosperity and thus on the quality of life of its residents.
Cycle A was launched in recent months and included training for CEOs, local authority engineers, city improvement managers and human resources managers. Towards 2023, additional trainings will be added for treasurers, legal advisors, local authority auditors and Business Legislation managers.
