After a long wait of two years, about 2,100 graduates of Reichman University’s various undergraduate and graduate programs gathered on October 13th for a highly anticipated event – the graduation ceremony for the class of 2019, who, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, had yet to officially receive their diplomas. Then, on October 19th, an additional graduation ceremony was held for the class of 2020. This ceremony was attended by about 2,600 graduates, who filled the grandstands set up especially for the occasion dressed in their traditional caps and gowns. Reichman University’s festive graduation ceremony, customary of those held in the international academic community, has become a ritual since the establishment of institution, and seeks to honor their graduates for their efforts and achievements.

"We are taking part in a Student Exchange Program at the University of San Francisco's branch in one of the magical islands in the Galapagos: San Cristobal Island.

The ocean and the mountains have become our classrooms. Most of the knowledge is acquired through practical experience. We got to see whales, dolphins, sharks, sea turtles and even sea lions! We are exploring all kind of unique species of plants and animals such as endemic birds (those with blue legs!!!) and part of the curriculum even requires...diving!!!"

Sophia has even gotten advanced scuba certified, conducted her first in field active research, volunteered at a farm, and so much more...
An Irreversible Opportunity
By: Professor Yoav Yair & Tamara Mizroch
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the 26th COP was delayed by a year. In a sense, this is good news since the United States now has a new administration with a new climate policy compared with its predecessor, which withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement in 2016. President Joe Biden’s new administration has re-engaged the US in the Paris Agreement and appears committed to lead a new accord in Glasgow, one that is more meaningful and effective. While the US economy is still heavily dependent on fossil fuels, the Green New Deal policy offers great hope for a substantial and long-term change in the economy and business conduct in the United States and around the world.
Can the reduction targets for CO2 emissions and the rate at which they are accomplished be ambitious enough to halt the response of the natural systems to human impacts and the continued disruption caused to the radiation balance of the atmosphere? In light of the scenarios presented in the 6th Report of the Inter-Government Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), published in September, it is alarmingly clear that inaction, or insufficient action, will result in considerable climate warming that will result in accelerated melting of polar glaciers, rising of ocean levels, changes in atmospheric flow and worsening of extreme events such as droughts, heat waves and tropical storms.

Yochai, 11, from Beit-El, returned home from school delighted that he received a perfect score on his test. Amir, 10, from Dimona, received 85, a major improvement from 35 on his previous exam. These stories are just two of dozens of success stories where I-school is making an impact.

“Our story begins in 2020 with the coronavirus outbreak. Two million students were left overnight without a dependable and secure educational framework. At this point, we asked ourselves how we could help,” explains Dana Harel, 26, one of the founders of I-School.
Learning by Doing at Reichman University

Many students face the problem of finding a job when they graduate. Armed with knowledge but oftentimes with little work experience the prospect of how to pry open the door of the professional world can still be elusive for many. The Co-op program of the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship was specifically designed to help students find their way in. Dr. Yossi Maaravi, Dean of the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship, initiated the Co-op program eight years ago, “one of the program’s key advantages is the close connection between what the students are studying and what is happening in the real world”, states Maaravi.

Ross Allen, USA
BA Business Administration at Reichman University
At first, I chose to study at IDC primarily because I could study in English and do so at the highest level in Israel - but as I progressed I realized that there was so much more. IDC's intrinsic value extends far beyond just ‘studying in English’; IDC provides countless initiatives, networking events, clubs, support systems and a community of talented & warm people… if only I could be involved more!
