Hello,

Collaborative social impact is created when diverse actors, from all sectors work together for a common purpose. While recognizing the importance and significance of interaction between the sectors, we have also learned that it is important to recognise the unique place, advantages and challenges that each sector brings to the table.

In this spirit, we have chosen to devote the current Sheatuf-yeda to the third sector's place in collaborative processes, and to shine a spotlight on its perspective on cross-sector action in various models.

We invite you to get inspired by an international case study of a social organization, operating within a cross-sectoral partnership, which expanded its impact by passing on the accumulated knowledge and solutions to the government.

You can then dive into the details of the professional discussion that has emerged in recent years, about the role of the third sector and philanthropy in Collective Impact, with an original article written by the Sheatufim team. The article is based on our experience in leading collective impact initiatives here in Israel, and it offers a number of ways and methods in which social organizations and philanthropic foundations can lead to better outcomes of collaborative processes.

 Enjoy the read!

Feel free to send us your thoughts and comments, to email: yeda@sheatufim.org.il.

Our "two cents" on Third Sector and Philanthropy in Collective Impact

As a social organization that leads collaborative processes and holds hands-on knowledge on civil society, we have chosen to take a closer look at the third sector and the philanthropic sector, and examine their role within collaborative processes in general, and Collective Impact initiatives in particular.

Along the theoretical discussion, we also sought to define concrete ways of action that would advance the way in which the third-sector and philanthropy intertwined in collaborative processes.

In an in-depth review, written by the Sheatufim team, based on the knowledge and experience we have accumulated, you will find a number of ways in which social organizations and philanthropic foundations can lead to better outcomes from collaborative processes.
