What a couple of months we have had!  April was full of spring fever with Passover and other celebrations, and May brought us Israel’s Independence Day celebrations as well as Remembrance Day for the Holocaust and our fallen soldiers.The month of May also brought us heat as in July and August. We actually reached 50 degrees centigrade (122 Fahrenheit!). I (Alison) don’t remember it being so hot so early in the year.  Read on to see how, as always, the lowest place on earth, is vibrant, alive and anxious for the whole world to come and experience and enjoy the gift that nature bestowed upon us.

The contestants of this years Eurovision Song Contest were invited by the Dead Sea Land, Dead Sea Mall and the Hotel Association to enjoy a relaxing day on the shores of the Dead Sea before the final stages
of the contest.

The rescue service of the Tamar Regional Council was established in 1974 by Eli Raz, a member of Kibbutz Ein Gedi.Today the service is internationally recognized and renowned for some of its amazing abilities to rescue in extreme conditions.

October, 2019 will see the Tamar Regional Music Festival No. 20.  A fantastic, culture event of Israeli and International artists perform all over the region in nature; caverns in the mountains, openings in the desert, on the grass in the communities and is an event
