New Projects - 5776

New Beer Sheva Secular Yeshiva - in October 2015 we opened the newest branch of the Secular Yeshiva network – in Beer Sheva. The Yeshiva has quickly become a vibrant hub of pluralistic Jewish learning, social action and community building for the city and the surrounding area of the Negev. With much gratitude to the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, Posen Foundation, the Federation CJA (Montreal) and the Nadav Foundation.
Shevet Achim pilot – leading up to their Bar Mitzvah young boys and their fathers meet up weekly to learn and to discuss the issues and challenges that are most on their minds – and also to spend some quality time together. The programjoins our existing girls program -'Rosh Hodesh: It's A Girl Thing!' both programs are based on the curriculum of the Philadelphia based Moving Traditions program and is supported by the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.
Beit BINA in India – in December 2015, BINA opened the first BEIT BINA (BINA House) in India! The House invites travelers to celebrate Jewish holidays and Shabbat together, attend study sessions and group discussions, partake in communal activities and familiar rituals – all in the spirit of BINA’s pluralistic, cultural, and social-values-based Judaism. Special thanks to the Rappaport and Tamir families.

Rabbi David Menachem is a teacher at the Jerusalem Secular Yeshiva. This article from Israel Hayom shows not only his commitment to diversity and inclusion within Judaism but also his belief in the importance of building interfaith bridges. We're delighted that he is part of the BINA family.
