The 3rd quarter of 2023, has been filled with IMPACT! We held workshops, lectures, and various activities for thousands of our wonderful recipients and alumni. But the highlight was notifying the new 2023-24 recipients that they were accepted to the IMPACT! Family.

We launched our renewed and upgraded IMPACT! website.
We are proud to share with you that the website was voluntarily designed by our very own talented recipient, Adar Shamir, a medical student.

IMPACT! SINGLES NIGHT #2After the success of our first IMPACT! Singles Night, which resulted in a wedding (Yeah!) and other alumni who found their match, we hosted our second successful singles evening with the leading professional dating & relationship coach, Assaf Yaari. It was an AMAZING night!!! |

The FIDF chapter in Chicago held an incredible scholarship fundraising event with the participation of Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Yoav Galant - Israel’s Defense Minister, who has personally supported the program since its establishment.
The event was attended by Mr. Izzy Levy and Mr. Al Frank - the Co-founders of the IMPACT! program, together with Maj. Gen. Zilberman - the IDF attaché in Washington D.C., and Orna Pesach - the IMPACT! Program Executive Director.
They were joined by the many generous and dedicated FIDF supporters, some of whom have been with us for more than 20 years.
The most powerful and moving part of this evening was when our 3 IMPACT! Alumni shared their personal and impressive success stories:
★ Dr. Dor Gilboa - an Orthopedist
★ Doron Lavi - a member of the planning team for the new light-rail train system in the central region of Israel
★ Shuki Peretz - a High-Tech team manager at Nvidia.
One of the most moving moments at the event was when Shuki, who grew up with deaf-mute parents, thanked his mother and told her how proud he is of her in sign language...

We held 3 professional meetings on Labor & Employment Law, Real Estate Contracts and Pension Planning, with the program alumni, Amihay Tissembaum and Ariel Yoav Dvir.

A successful collaboration with the wonderful mentors from UVISION, a company specializing in Smart Loitering Systems, who contributed their professional skill, knowledge and work experience to our recipients, who are about to complete their degree and enter the job market.

Natanzons' Summer Pool Party
Tova & Rony Natanzon, our dear supporters from Baltimore, hosted their current recipients and alumni, along with their spouses and children, at their home in Israel for a summer pool party. It was so much fun! |

Kiferbaum's Fabulous Dinner
Sandy & Jacob Kiferbaum, our wonderful Chicago donors, met with their recipients and alumni for a very special dinner in Haifa.
It was a magical evening!

Tomer Ben-Haim Baliti, our program alumnus, honorably represented us at the FIDF event in Michigan, where she personally met her generous donors for the very first time. Tomer shared her exciting and unique experience with us:
"Throughout my undergraduate studies, I sent letters to my donors and they were just a name on the page. I had no idea how they looked or had any details about them. All I knew was that somewhere in the world, there is a wonderful couple who care for the country I live in and appreciate my military service, so much so that they donate to former IDF combatants like me, and help them realize their dream – an academic degree.
During the delegation I was privileged to meet the most amazing people in the world, my donors, Susie and Norm Pappas, and many other donors. I got to talk to them and share my experience from my days as a student, to thank them personally for the huge impact they had on my life, and to proudly represent the IMPACT! program at the Bi-Annual Women of Valor Event.
I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the program that changed my life, as well as for this unique and empowering experience!"

Did you know? About 45% of IMPACT! recipients went above and beyond for the community this year. Although they are asked to volunteer only 130 hours a year, it turns out that thousands of dedicated and hard-working recipients decided to continue their meaningful volunteering after completing the required hours.
