Our dear alumni came to help the IMPACT! team in one of the FIDF's
most touching missions during the war,
and joined us for condolence visits to the bereaved families.

We were especially moved and touched by numerous donors,
such as Tova and Rony Natanzon from the FIDF Baltimore,

who came to Israel during the war and joined the visits.

We were excited visit the in the hospitals, to meet and hug the wounded IDF soldiers, some of whom are IMPACT! recipients and alumni, who were very happy to see us and share their personal injury stories. We met soldiers who miraculously survived, and it is not clear how they stayed alive. We definitely got to meet heroes.
We wish our soldier a full and fast recovery!

The Israeli farmers suffered a heavy blow during the war,
since their Thai workers left Israel.
That's why we went to help and support them, together with our alumni, IMPACT! board members and our Co-chairman, Mr. Harry Gross, who came to Israel from NY to strengthen and support Israel and the soldiers during these difficult times.

We all had a great opportunity to take part in national, meaningful and Zionist activity.

We were honored and excited to participate in the project of IMPACT! alumni attorney Nissim Rahami, VP of Operations and Business Development at 'Metrofun', a bicycle rental company in the central region, and join a solidarity bike ride with the families of the kidnapped and missing along the beaches of Tel-Aviv.

We all pray for their safety and hope to see them home soon.

Dudu Barzilai -was granted a special leave from reserve duty – for the purpose of donating a kidney/to donate a kidney
Dudu Barzilai is an IMPACT! alumnus, a resident of Sderot, is married and a father of 5. At the beginning of the war, he requested special leave for the purpose of donating a kidney, which he had planned to do before the war broke out. Despite the situation, it was important for him to reinforce the meaning of social solidarity and the importance of donating, especially during these times. This is why he insisted on going ahead with the donation as planned: "The war and the massacre strengthened my desire to give life."

She was released from reserves for a short break- and went to volunteer with her Holocaust survivor
Eden Shakuri, a 3rd year Communication student at Ariel University, is currently serving in reserve duty in battalion 8901. She decided to spend her short break from reserve duty by visiting and giving a big hug to Militina, the Holocaust survivor she volunteers with, as part of her IMPACT! volunteering.

For the emotional meeting, Eden brought a special "loneliness relief kit", which she received from "The Foundation for the welfare of Holocaust Victims". If you look closely at the photo, you will see that Militina's eyes are full of tears - from the excitement and joy of meeting Eden.
We were also very touched and excited.
From her home kitchen and with a lot of love - an IMPACT! recipient who delivers hundreds of homemade meals to the soldiers every day
Our recipient, Adar Miara, a third year Law student at the College of Management, founded together with her partner an entire facility, which provides hundreds of home cooked meals every day for our soldiers all over the country.

The homemade meals, prepared by Adar, are dedicated in memory of Nathanel Young z'l, a lone soldier who made Aliya from the UK specifically to enlist in the IDF and was killed during the war. We are so proud of Adar for the incredible initiative and her blessed work.

Volunteering with citizens
Our recipient, Yazan Abdalla, second year Economics student at Western Galilee College, a resident of the Druze village Kfar Kisra, is volunteering with youth and responsible for their activities in the northern region. Together they go above and beyond to strengthen the soldiers and civilians in the area:
"My trainees and I delivered food and drinks for soldiers in the area, we made sure that they didn't lack anything, and even organized a fund-raising campaign in my village for them. In addition, we went to our kindergartens to support children whose parents are in the reserves.". Yasher Koach, Yazan!

One of the challenges of our recipients and alumni during these times is searching for a job during the war. Therefore IMPACT! Career Manager held a unique Zoom workshop on the subject, that gave an insight into the state of the current job market, provided tips and tools on how to deal with pressure
and uncertainty in the search process, and more..
